ABOUT JENNIFER

Jennifer Reynolds loves meeting new people and working with diverse populations.

Jennifer grew up in Central Kentucky and has traveled extensively. She lived in Central Mexico for four years where she enjoyed using her background in anthropology to do community outreach work. She was a small business owner and ran a successful CrossFit gym. In her young adult career, Jennifer was a professional ballet dancer and taught for 17 years. Later she ended up working in non-profit fundraising.

Formerly, she was the Outreach Director with Bluegrass Youth Ballet and in 2013 started a bilingual outreach program in the 11th District’s Valley Park. She is still involved and serves on the Bluegrass Youth Ballet board.

Jennifer is also fluent in Spanish and a qualified medical interpreter. These skills have proved vital to be able to communicate with many businesses and residents in the 11th District, something that had not previously been done. Almost a quarter of the area is Hispanic. To make sure communication goes out to everyone, Jennifer is the first Councilmember to share all information in both English and Spanish.

Her background in anthropology and community service aid her in caring for all of the 11th District and give her a unique perspective on Council.

Jennifer is a working mom and comfortable juggling multiple undertakings. She has a young son and enjoys hiking and exploring new activities with him together. Being active in the local community, Jennifer loves attending local events, shopping, eating at neighborhood businesses, and dancing in her free time.

As we approach the end of the year, I want to thank everyone for your support of my work and as a public servant. I have not made an announcement yet about my next steps, however, I will be making it soon. Some have asked me and I wanted to clarify that
no candidate is allowed to collect signatures until after November 4, 2025 for 2026 elections. It is against election law.
